The last few months have been less visually-oriented as I was concentrating on finishing up teaching in Korea and adjusting back to life in the US… but here are two pictures I made, both for my favorite couple (me’n'm!). Both similar, in taking silhouettes and making them part of the picture.

Can you find the faces? They’re somewhat hidden in the textures… but they are part of the mountain. The background mountains use the same outlines as well.
The concept was directly taken from this fine man’s work… but I couldn’t keep away from the textures, and I feel they are substantially different. I enjoyed making a couples gift that wasn’t a straight-up portrait – if you like the concept, I could easily draw one up for another couple, would be a nice housewarming or engagement present. Wedding invitation for a laid-back couple? Anyway, a lot of fun, and it looks great printed out at 18×24 on our wall.
Another evening, playing around with existing photos – posed, pictures all from the same hike…
Couple pictures might stop now that I’m back in the same country, city, and apartment as my boyfriend – but I doubt it. They’re always fun!
